BURS prepares to host CATA stakeholders

Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS) held the Common Wealth Association of Tax Administrators (CATA) 2014 conference stakeholder meeting on the 1st August 2014 at Cresta Lodge in Gaborone.

The stakeholder meeting came in preparation of the impending CATA 2014 Technical Conference scheduled for 10th -14th November 2014 at the Grand Palm in Gaborone.

Giving welcome remarks at the event, the BURS Commissioner General, Mr Ken Morris told attendants that BURS has been part of the CATA since 1978 and has participated in most of the 34 CATA conferences that were held throughout the Commonwealth.

“We have observed the meticulous planning that goes into the organisation of these conferences and in some countries have been overwhelmed by the level of detail that has been put into hosting these events. In spite of the various challenges that we may face, we have remained committed to hosting this event in November this year”, Mr Morris said.
